YOU ARE TRULY ONE OF THE "GREAT COMPASSIONATES."
January 21, 2015
Dear Dr. Datta,
I wanted to take the time and personally thank you for the wonderful care you provided to me prior to and during my hospitalization. This surgery followed a much less successful surgery in 2004. From my first appointment with you on that Wednesday afternoon, I received a good feeling of the kind, caring, compassionate doctor that I thought you were. And everything that you did for me – from having me meet with the NET specialist to talking with me in the hospital made me know just how aware you were of my situation – and by that all the stuff that had previously gone wrong in my medical history and the time you took to ease my mind that you would do your best so it didn't happen again. And the time you spent with my son and family setting their minds at east was just priceless. It has been a long time since I feel I was afforded the care you had provided to me. Again, thank you for all you have done. And if the situation ever arises where I or someone I know needs a spinal surgeon, be assured, you will be the first person I think of. You are one very special doctor in ways doctor's don't seem to place much emphasis on anymore. You are truly one of the "great compassionates."
